To operate legally, you’ll need a freelance work permit in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or other emirates. For custom furniture building, the most common options include:
- Dubai Design District (d3) Freelance Permit – Ideal for creative professionals.
- Twofour54 Abu Dhabi – Suitable for media and creative industries.
- Sharjah Media City (Shams) – Offers affordable licenses.
These permits typically allow you to work with both individuals and companies, invoice clients, and open a local bank account.
